The Will of
Thomas CROMPTON
of Bridlington, born 1803
Dated 01 March 1860
This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Crompton of Bridlington in the County of York made this first day of March one thousand eight hundred and sixty as follows I give and bequeath unto my dear wife Isabella Crompton All my household Goods and furniture and articles of household found in my dwelling house at the time of my decease to be taken possession of by her immediately after my decease I also Give and bequeath unto my said dear Wife Isabella Crompton the sum of Four hundred pounds to be paid to her at the end of six months extra after my death with interest at the rate of five pounds percent per annum from the day of my death to the day of payment | ![]() |
Also to all my farming stock and crop Implements of husbandry tenant right and interest of and in my farm monies securities for monies goods and chattels personal estate and whatever and whereso ever and what nature or kind soever (except as before bequeathed)
I give and bequest to same sum every part thereof unto my daughter Ann Elizabeth the wife of Mr. William Wilson of Harpham Field Farmer and to her own absolute use and benefit and I desire her as soon as conveniently may be after my decease to convert all my personal estate into money As to all my real estate at Bridlington which I purchased of my Brother James Crompton for his life I give and desire the same for the term of the natural life of my said Brother James Crompton unto my said daughter Ann Elizabeth Wilson her heirs and assigns And as to all other my real estate at Bridlington and Nafferton or elsewhere whether in possession of expectancy I Give and devise the same and every part thereof unto my said daughter Ann Elizabeth Wilson her heirs and assigns for ever and I do herby appoint my said son in law Mr. William Wilson of Harpham Field Farmer and my brother Mr John Crompton of Thornholme joint Executors of this my last will and testament In witness I have hereto set my hand the day and year first above written Thomas Crompton The above will was signed by the above testator Thomas Crompton in the presence of us present at the same time and have attested and subscribed the said will in the presence of the said testator Benjamin Bachelor Bridlington Thos Harland Sol.
