Florence Mabel BLACKMAN was born 28 June 1882 (Vic BMD 19382/1882) in Pleasant Creek, later Stawell. On 27 May 1903 she married William James TOMLINSON (Vic BMD 2785/1903) at Stawell. William James was born 03 February 1879 (Vic BMD 11105/1879) in Stawell, the son of Joseph James TOMLINSON and Margaret Ann McDERMOTT. William died on 25 December 1936, (Vic BMD 20201/1936) aged 57, at Warracknabeal, Victoria and Florence died 3 years later on 21 June 1939 (Vic BMD 12110/1939), at Wendouree, Ballarat, Victoria.

There is no obvious Vic BMD record of Nance's birth or her marriage to a C BELL. A Nancy BELL died in 1973 and 1986 but neither had a mother surnamed BLACKMAN.

| Olive Mary was born in 1903 (Vic BMD 21469/1903) in Stawell.
She married William Arnold STANDFIELD in early 1927 (Vic BMD 2710/1927)
who was born in Sailors Falls Musk Vale, 240km south-east of Warracknabeal, in 1900
(Vic BMD 13174/1900).

Jean Florence - Florence and William's second child
Jean Florence was born in 1905 (Vic BMD 6488/1906) in Stawell and registered in 1906. She married Frederick Charles MAIR in 1929 (Vic BMD 6388/1929) and died in Ararat on 25 February 1985 (Vic BMD 6210/1965). Frederick Charles was born in 1905 in Fairfield in North Melbourne (Vic BMD 2828/1905) and died in Ararat in 1988 (Vic BMD 17149/1988).

Ernest George - Florence and William's third child
It is recorded that Ernest George was born in Stawell on 02 February 1907 but his birth was recorded in 1908 (Vic BMD 7047/1908). He died on 10 October 1910 and was register in 1911 (Vic BMD 11010/1911) in Stawell aged 3.
William James - Florence and William's fourth child
William James was born on 27 December 1910 (Vic BMD 7025/1911) and registered in 1911. On 02 September 1939 he married Iris Sybil Jean BULTE (Vic BMD 16319/1939), who was born in Ararat in 1914 (Vic BMD 18185/1914) In 1936-37, Iris Sybil Jean BULTE is recorded living at Queen Street, Ararat employed as a cashier.

Joseph - Florence and William's fifth child
Joseph was born on 03 November 1912 (Vic BMD 34778/1912) in Stawell. He married Gladys Irene FISH in 1937 (Vic BMD 7497/1937) who was born in Creswick in 1917 (Vic BMD 19722/1917).

By 1949-80 Joseph had joined Gladys at a new address:
In 1963, whilst at the same address, Joseph had no employment, but returned in 1967 as a cleaner.
In 1972 a daughter had come of age:
but had left home by 1977.
Joseph died on 21 February 1986 in Ballarat (Vic BMD 8185/1986) . There is no obvious record of Gladys' death.
Mabel - Florence and William's sixth child
Mabel was born on 05 August 1914 (Vic BMD 26567/1914) in Stawell.

There is no record of Mabel Tomlinson in the Electoral Rolls beyond 1937. Vic BMD has no obvious record of her marriage or death. Mabel died on 21 October 1989 in Montrose, Victoria.
John Reginald - Florence and William's seventh child
John Reginald was born on 24 October 1917 (Vic BMD 32551/1917) in Stawell. He died on 13 April 1920 (Vic BMD 8149/1920) in Warracknabeal.
Allan - Florence and William's eighth child
Allan was born on 28 March 1920 (Vic BMD 17023/1920) in Warracknabeal. He died on 21 December 1920 (Vic BMD 16681/1920) in Warracknabeal.
Laurence McDermott - Florence and William's ninth child
Laurence McDermott was born in 1921 (Vic BMD 35461/1921) in Warracknabeal. In 1946 he married Kathleen Lorraine MAGGS (Vic BMD 6682/1946). He died on 21 September 2018, probably in New South Wales.

Margaret Ettie - Florence and William's tenth child
Margaret Ettie was born on 20 March 1924 in Warracknabeal. There does not appear to be a Vic BMD record. In 1945 she married, as Margaret Ethel/Elltie, Paul ANGLIN (Vic BMD 16808/1945). She died on 05 May 2007.
